Sean's father was an engineer for DuPont. His mother, Cheryl, was a financial analyst also for DuPont.
Originally went to the University of Virginia to study to be a lawyer. A chance audition for a part in "A Raisin In the Sun" changed his direction. He ultimately got his master's degree in drama from New York University in 1996.
Graduated from Brandywine High School, Wilmington, Delaware.
Both of his parents are from Guyana.
Married Aonika Laurent in New Orleans on April 22, 2006. Originally planned for the Fall of 2005 in New Orleans, but postponed due to Hurricane Katrina.

I'm as anxious as any viewer would be to see what Temple is going to do next. All I know is that in the second half of the season, he's going to have more sexual tension developing. And it's a great cast - they're all Broadway actors except for me. I aspire to that.
