Richard Brake was born on November 30, 1964 in Ystrad Mynach, Hengoed, Wales as Richard Colin Brake. He is an actor, known for Doom (2005), 31 (2016) and Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014).

Grew up in North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee.
Graduated from Duke University.
Is one of three actors from the Batman films to also appear in the Hannibal Lecter films. Tracey Walter appeared in Batman (1989) and The Silence of the Lambs (1991), Gary Oldman appeared in Hannibal (2001) and Batman Begins (2005), and Brake appeared in Batman Begins (2005) and Hannibal Rising (2007).
Attended Western Reserve Academy (Class of 1983) in Hudson, Ohio.
His family emigrated to Atlanta, Georgia from South Wales in 1967.
His first ever acting role was as Judge Danforth in Arthur Miller's The Crucible while a student at W.R.A. in 1982.
Studied acting in New York at the Michael Chekhov Studio under Jim Boerlin and Beatrice Straight and in London at The Mountview Theatre School and the School for the Science of Acting under esteemed acting teacher Sam Kogan.

[on the Night's King's (his Game of Thrones (2011) character) design] It's actually molded off of my face - way back a few years ago we did a cast of me, and they basically created prosthetics to go onto my face, my arms as well and pretty much down to my chest.
