The Last Word Open Mic: Culture, Rituals, Practices

In late 2018 UN Women Pakistan started an awareness campaign meant to condemn dowry and incidents/casualties related to dowry. 
The Aurat March this year generated conversation across drawing rooms and social media about how movements like these will damage the cultural and social fabric of the society and community. The atmosphere is ripe with flux and change. 

This is where you come in. What are the cultures, rituals and practices that you have grown up with or internalised that you feel are worth reconsidering, remoulding or even relieving ourselves of them entirely. How have they shaped your life? What would you want to be different? What would you want to keep same? What are the ones you hold dear and fear to lose if change does come? What are the ones you can't wait to rid yourself of?
