On the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day 2018, WECREATE Pakistan is hosting a special screening of Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story.

The film tells the story of Hedy Lamarr, a 1940s film idol, whose beauty and glamour overshadowed her true talent as an inventor. Her work revolutionized telecommunications and would eventually force the world to recognize that it had greatly underestimated her contributions.

Every year on April 26, the World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated to highlight the role that intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, industrial designs and copyright) play in encouraging innovation and creativity.

This year we are celebrating the brilliance, ingenuity, curiosity, and courage of the women who are driving change in our world and shaping our common future.
