Our Group PBWRP (Pakistan's Bloggers, Writers, Readers and Poets) aims to promote English and Urdu literature in Pakistan by helping nurture young talent and giving them a platform to express their love for the written word. Many Bloggers, Writers and Poets from all across the country share their poetry and prose pieces with the Facebook group on a daily basis and gain positive feedback along with an opportunity to grow as individuals in a positive and conducive environment. The writers also get a unique chance to part of a learning, motivational community which is 10,000 members strong after only seven months of being operational. The group shows an upward growth trend of 35% on a monthly basis with nearly 11k members active daily.
Our various ongoing segments in the group are designed to facilitate the growth process and provide inspiration and motivation to the writers. Book giveaways are also attached to the segments as further incentives. These giveaways are sponsored by Book bee. PBWRP also hosts writer meet-ups all over the country and have also conducted a highly successful and acclaimed Literary Fiesta on 22nd July, 2018 at Movenpick Hotel, Karachi.
The PBWRP Literary Fiesta is geared towards bringing writers from all across the country closer together through a competitive event with highly respected judges and guests belonging to the Pakistani literary scene. The participants in poetry and prose categories were lauded and the winners were given prizes for their brilliant pieces and manner of delivery. Following the success of the last Literary Fiesta, the PBWRP has organized a second grand event to be held in the month of January 2019. This time we would be graced with the presence of true literary giants as guests and audience members.
