About the program: The program, with funding from the Department for International Development UK (DFID), seeks to enable growth of women-led businesses by providing technical and financial support to female entrepreneurs across the country. The Karandaaz Women Entrepreneurship Challenge is run every year and winners are selected through a competitive process.
About Karandaaz: Karandaaz Pakistan promotes access to finance for small businesses through a commercially directed investment platform, and financial inclusion for individuals by employing technology enabled digital solutions. The company has financial support from leading international development finance institutions, principally the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).
Who can apply?
o The business should be owned & managed by a woman
o The female entrepreneur should be a Pakistani citizen
o The business should have been in operation for at least 3 years
o The program is open to all sectors, and applicants may apply from anywhere in Pakistan
o Having a National Tax Number (NTN) is necessary for consideration
What the program offers: Investment of up to PKR 2 crore/PKR 20 Million, business development services and mentor-ship. Eligible businesses will be able to apply directly through the website, by filling out the application form. Applications close on July 10th 2018.
