Homayoun Sakhi live in concert, Peshawar

A brilliant Afghan-born musician, with a charismatic musical presence, his versatile style embodies the traditional tunes of the Afghan rubab, with tinges of symphonic, modern Indian and western music. Sakhi has breathed new life into the rubab, bringing it center-stage from being an accompanying instrument to one that is worthy of solo performance.

Sakhi’s rubab will be accompanied by the Afghan tabla artist, Mirwais Kazemi, from Kabul.
