Rules For Short Films and Dramatics:

*****Rules for Videography Competition*****
1. Each team has to present a video on any open topic of their choice with a clear theme.
2. No video should be less than its minimum time limit (5 min).
3. No video should exceed its maximum time limit (20 minutes). Marks will be deducted for each extra minute.
4. Judges are the ultimate authority and no one can challenge their decision.
5. Participating teams are not allowed to portray any content in their videos which is below moral
standards e.g. loose or non – parliamentary language.
6. Videos pointing any political or national issues including social taboos would also be encouraged if and only if presented in a proper manner.
7. Animated videos will not be catered.
8. Each team can comprise 3 members (director + editor + writer) at the most.
9. Videos (Films / Documentaries) will be played on a multimedia projector (1200 X 800 pixels) and big screen (15 X 10 ft.); therefore they must be submitted in good quality in a digital format.
10. Videos must be sent for the final review before 5th October, 2016 to the event co-coordinator. For this purpose, video may be uploaded on a safe source and the link should be mailed at [email protected].
11. Host team holds the right to reject any video during the review process.
12. All submissions should be playable on universal codec. If the submission requires any special codec, they should also be submitted along.
13. The video should be students’ original work and should contain minimal referral material.
14. The referral material should be credited by adding source name in the video.
15. Grading would be done by experienced panel of judges.

**Rules for Dramatics Competition**
1. Each team has to present a drama on any open topic of their choice with a clear theme and message.
2. No drama should be less than its minimum time limit (15 min).
3. No drama should exceed its maximum time limit (30 min).
4. Marks will be deducted in case of violation of time limits.
5. For stage setting maximum of 10 minutes will be provided prior to performance. If this limit is exceeded then additional time will be counted in the performance.
6. Judges are the ultimate authority and no one can challenge their decision.
7. Participating teams are not allowed to portray any content in their performances which is below moral standards e.g. loose or non – parliamentary language. In case of violation, performance
will be disqualified.
8. Dramas pointing any political or national issues including social taboos would also be encouraged if and only if presented in a proper manner.
9. NUML Dramatics Club Team will only provide the following items:
One tables and 4 chairs, Parcan/theme/color lights and Spotlight, Flicker, Smoke Generator, Sound System, 6 stage microphones. (Every team must bring its own laptop to play sounds of the play).
10. Anything not mentioned in the list will have to be arranged by the teams themselves. Participants are supposed to set the stage prior to their performance and remove their belongings from the stage when they are over with their performance, at their own.
11. In case of any activity that may cause harm to facilities provided by NUML Dramatics Club (stage, mics, etc.) will result in immediate disqualification of teams. Note: The stage of NUML is wooden.
12. Each team can comprise 15 members (actors + support staff) at the most. Script of the drama should be mailed at [email protected] before 5th October, 2016.
13. NDC Management holds the right to reject any drama during the script review process.
14. Grading would be done by experienced panel of judges.
