SOON VALLEY

The scenic Soon Valley is located between Kallar & Khushab. Being a part of Salt Range, the valley has its traces back to ancient times. The main tribe of the valley is Awan, which still doniates the region.

We drive from Islamabad to Kallar Kahar and after making a detour to visit Ketas Huindu Temple, we drive to Padhrar and further towards Sakesar. Sakesar is the highest peak in the Salt Range and occupied by Air Force.

The picturesque valley is known for its vast saline water lake and fruits, exclusively Citrus. The valley produces high quality Malta and several other fruits. A camp night at Kanhatti Gardens and visit of Khabeki and Uchali lakes would be memorable.

ITINERARY

Day 1 - February 11th 2017 
Islamabad – Soon Valley (Kallar Kahar – Ketas Temple – Kanhattai Garden)

• Gathering point Hana Restaurant I-8 Markaz
• Breakfast (Halwa, Puri, Lahori Channey, Aalu ki Bhujhia and Tea) will be served at Hana Restaurant
• After breakfast departure for Kallar kahar
• Brief stopover at Kallar kahar and drive towards Ketas Raj Temple
• Visit of Hindu Temple at Ketas associated with Lord Shiva
• Drive to Soon Valley via Munara and Pail
• Arrival at Kanhatti Gardens (Known for delicious fruit orchids)
• Lunch (Arabiata Wings, Beef Stroganoff, Garlic Butter Rice, Russian Salad and Soft drinks) will be served at campsite
• Nature walk towards jungle side waterfall
• Return campsite and start activities (Air Gun Shooting and Archery)
• Tea and rest at campsite
• BBQ Dinner (Chicken Boti, Irani Boti, Seekh Kabab, Nan, Raita, 
• Salad and Soft Drinks) will be served with Bonfire at campsite
• Free time to enjoy a jungle camp night with live singing and instrument playing by participants
• Overnight at campsite

Day 2 - February 12th 2017 
Soon Valley (Khabeki Lake – Uchali Lake – Bird Watching - Islamabad)

• Breakfast (Mushroom Omelette, Paratha, Bread, Butter, Jam and Tea) will be served at campsite
• Drive to Uchali Lake at the base of Sakesar Mountain, the highest in the region
• Possible activities at the Lakeside (Bird Watching and Boat Ride)
Drive back to Khabeki Lake
• Lunch (Egg Fried Rice, Chicken Shanghai and Chowmein) will be served at lakeside
• Leisure time at the lakeside
• Drive back to Islamabad
• Arrive at Islamabad
