Bandhan is a play about love betrayal and revenge. 

It is loosely based on Lorca’s Blood Wedding.
The unnamed bride in Blood Wedding runs away from her wedding reception with her former suitor, Leonardo, who is married. The mother who has already lost her husband and her elder son fears the worst for her younger and only living son. The men kill each other, leaving the bereaved women—Leonardo’s wife, the bridegroom’s mother, and the bride—to bewail their losses. In many ways the play reflects the many news stories of honour killings we read in our present day.
