Paper Garden: An Origami Workshop
The new year is the perfect time for your little ones to learn new skills and develop new interests. Come on down to the Lahore Library for a special origami workshop that’s the perfect starting point for a brand-new hobby!
Origami is an excellent way to teach kids the importance of mindfulness, patience and discipline. Our facilitator, Inam Elahi, will be taking us through the basics of the art through storytelling and helping us create an array of miniatures suitable for decoration and play. Children will be leaving this workshop with a skill that is a great way to develop not only hand eye co-ordination and sequencing and spatial skills, but also maths reasoning, memory and an increased attention span.
Inam Elahi is a calligrapher, truck and mural artist and an art and crafts teacher in the training department at Idara-e-Taleem-o-Agahi since 2005. He is an outdoor media expert with over 14 years of experience working with renowned advertising agencies in Karachi. Inam Elahi is a leading artist at the Children’s Literature Festivals (CLFs) and has been conducting arts and crafts, origami, truck art and fresco painting workshops.
Join us as we learn this soothing craft and bring ordinary paper to life!
