Water is a key driver for economic and social development of any country. It has a basic function in maintaining the integrity of the natural environment and is also linked to other vital natural resources; hence it is imperative that water issues cannot be resolved in isolation. Due to this fact, the worldwide integrated approach for managing water resources and environmental issues is adopted and acknowledged at all levels. Thus, knowing the importance of sustainable management of water and environmental related issues in Pakistan, USPCAS-W, MUET, Jamshoro is and organizing 2 Two-Day Young Researchers' National Conference on Water and Environment (NCWE-18).

2nd Young Researchers National Conference on Water & Environment

Knowing the importance of water for sustainability of life under current climate change scenario, U.S.-Pakistan Centers for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) was established at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) Jamshoro, with the financial support of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Pakistan under the Cooperative Agreement signed with USAID on December 12, 2014 for five years. The University of Utah (UU), USA is providing technical assistance to MUET for advancing the development and growth of USPCAS-W.
