So, Pakistan will be holding its first ever Women Health and Hygiene conference to address issues like gender equality, economic empowerment, rights of women and of course the well-being of girls and women. The event #Hackthepad will be hosted by iCube by Peace University, USA and Sustainable Development Policy Institute – SDPI in Islamabad, Pakistan on May 14th. The organizers are calling on leaders – across sectors, regions and generations countrywide – to take action and uphold the cause of gender parity in the country.
#HackThePad will be all about creating an encouraging environment to invent, innovate and to investigate the problems surrounding female well-being and rights. The mission of the conference will be focused on finding the solution to those problems.

#HackThePad Women’s Health and Hygiene Conference 2018 will have sessions including keynotes, workshops, exciting film screening and social entrepreneurship awards, and amazing opportunities for female of all ages to engage with each other and get inspired.
The conference will include more than 20 talks, workshops, panel discussions and special sessions panel that will focus on achieving an ever lasting impact for the women and young girls around us. The solutions will not only be technological but will also work towards promoting hygiene, health and rights of women. Most importantly, the conference will encourage women to talk about their experiences with mensuration and will teach how it’s not a “normal” thing.
#HackThePad will also feature exciting activities including stand up comedy, a band performance, short film screening, social entrepreneurship awards, and an activity for kids to understand what gender equality means starting young in their own kiddy way!
