One of the most anticipated movies since the release of Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp recently got released to the cinemas and is already making a huge collection in the box office. The film itself is a hilarious return of our favorite shrinking heroes, but this time, with elevated action and an endearing storyline. But before we give you our review, check out the trailer:
Ant-Man and the Wasp picks up after the events of Captain America: Civil War. After Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) completes two years of house arrest, connects with Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) who have assembled a Quantum Tunnel in an attempt to rescue Hank’s wife and Hope’s mother, Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer).
Director Peyton Reed has done wonders in balancing silly humor with the more serious aspects of the plot. Reed also helps to bring out more from the cast so that each of them get a moment of spotlight.
The dynamic between the two leads: Hope and Scott helps in balance the film’s comedy. While Hope acts as the responsible adult, Scott adds the necessary comic dialogues to relief the audience if the movie gets too serious. Moreover, with the incredible and much-necessary upgrades on her suit, such as wings and blasters – Wasp is able to provide more dramatic action than Ant-Man. This helps to elevate the sequel from it’s predecessor – Ant-man, and helps to engage the audience in a manner that makes them ask for more.
Rudd and Lilly, along with the other cast of Ant-Man and the Wasp never fail to impress the audience with their incredible acting skills to bring out the heroes and villains to life.
Overall, Ant-Man and the Wasp by Marvel Studios delivers the best piece of work. The movie balances exciting action, a heartfelt story, and well-timed humor, to great lengths while also letting the heroes shine in their own unique way.
