“Reinventing Pakistan” Article writing competition aims to bring youth around Pakistan to focus on the issues and constraint regarding nationalism. This competition will also encourage young researchers/writers to collaborate and write more potentially across disciplines than they have done traditionally, to get into the practice of presenting their work to non-specialist audiences and the general public. Finally it will provide a forum where youth can learn more about the socioeconomic fluctuations imprinting in Pakistan. Outcomes • Exploration of the real face of the country in front of general public, industrialist and policymakers so that they can plan and adopt some sort of strategic approach to resolve county’s issues and constraints. • Establish a network of young researchers, leaders and policy makers who will be able to work together to find creative solutions to the issues facing the country. • Provide an opportunity for youth/academia/industry to present their concerns regarding and solutions to issues facing the country to leading politicians and policy and decision makers, both in person and in resulting competition result. • Encourage dialogue and technology transformations between young researchers, academia, industry and general public in different disciplines. • Encourage youth not currently involved in any issues to become involved and provide support for youth already working at any platform. • Developing leadership and entrepreneurship skills in youth by providing them platform where they get practice and ensure true implementation in coming days. Eligibility The competition is open to every Pakistani across the globe (High School & College, Under Graduate, Graduate, Postgraduate, faculty and industry). Competition schedule • Registration is open from: (December 05, 2016) • Last date for article submission: (January 25, 2016 ) • Shortlist Announced: (January 30, 2017 ) • Certificate and Prize distribution day: (Febrarury 15, 2017) Registration Fee: 200/participant REQUIREMENTS • Participants will have to come up with ICT, Agriculture, Banking & Finance, Security, Health and Safety, Fashion & Design Management Sciences, Medical Sciences, veterinary sciences, Hospitality, Engineering and social Sciences related innovative project ideas/discussions/Magazine Featured Articles (Religious/ Spiritual/ Inspirational/ ethical), one page project description, and team membership at the time of registration. • The articles/ research must be written in English and all parts of the topic should be relevant to the given outline. • Participant should preferably utilize state-of-art technologies/software/techniques to design the innovative product concept. • Teams will submit a short length article with all headings, tables and graphs (600-2000 words excluding references) and graphically designed poster (Fact sheet) for visual Presentation in soft and hard form (specially for top 25 articles) . • Participants will need to submit their magazine featured article on www.rizingnation.com • Position holder teams will display and present their work on the final day of the event. Rules & Regulations • By participating in the Reinventing Pakistan, participant accepts these regulations and all other rules and terms related to the Reinventing Pakistan. • No changes are allowed once an entry is submitted unless approved by management. • Participant agrees that, if requested by management, he or she will supply high resolution images/ poster for marketing, printing, or exhibition. • All materials submitted for the competition must be the participant’s original work. It is the participant’s sole responsibility to ensure that the work submitted does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, and design rights. Management shall not be responsible for participant’s infringement of any third-party intellectual property rights. All published and online media, including social media, related to the “Reinventing Pakistan” must be reviewed and approved by Rizing Nation Team. • No prize transfer, assignment, or substitution by winners is permitted. If a prize (or part of a prize) is unavailable, Management, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the original prize (or that part of the prize) with an alternative prize to the equal monetary value and/or specification, unless to do so would be prohibited by law. • “Reinventing Pakistan’s” Management reserves the right to verify the validity and originality of any entry and/or entrant (including an entrant's identity and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these official rules or who tampers with the entry process. • Event rules and regulations are subject to change without notice. • Contacting any member of the jury is prohibited. Evaluation criteria Evaluation will be judged based upon following criteria: • Degree of creativity/Innovation/Uniqueness/ technology adoption (40%) • Degree of Research and Poster presentation (Fact sheet) (5%) • Focus, professionalism and graphical poster/ visual Presentation (25%) • Potential Impact on community, local industry or economy (10%). • Readiness based solution (20%). DISQUALIFIED IF: • The topic is irreverent to the given topics. • Submission form is incomplete, contain incorrect information or registration fee is not paid. • If plagiarized—that is, uses someone else's statements or ideas as your own. • Publication directly or indirectly not related to Pakistan. • Any illegal activity may also led to disqualification. Participants will be disqualified if any of the competition rules are not followed. Writing guideline (not mandatory) 1. Article length must not exceed from 600-2000 words (excluding references) 2. Title: title must be catchy, enticing, clear, concise, informative, accurate, and attention commanding. 3.
